A client from Europe and a client from the Middle East should be the first owners of projects in the SuperConero line from CRN. They’ve each signed letters of intent for 144’4” (44-meter) SuperConero megayachts.
Announced a few months ago, the SuperConero series pays tribute to CRN’s first large-yacht series. Created in the late 1970s, it was called Super Conero. “Conero” itself pays tribute to something dear to CRN, that being a region near its home in Ancona, Italy. The LOA for the original Super Conero line was quite big for the time, 75’5” (23 meters). And, just as the original Super Conero was a good entry-level size for the megayacht market, CRN believes the new SuperConero series is a good initial step for buyers who will gradually buy bigger.
Even as an entry-level model, the SuperConero has features found aboard larger CRNs. One attractive item is a float-in tender bay that’s part of the overall permanent beach club. CRN first incorporated this configuration on J’Ade. The 144-foot SuperConero yachts also have fold-down balconies. Other smart ideas include a bulbous bow for the steel hull, and displacement capped at 500 gross tons.
The 144-foot SuperConero projects will each have a beam of 28’2” (8.6 meters). All naval architecture and design is from a collaboration between Zuccon International Project and CRN’s in-house team.
Because the two SuperConcero yachts are not yet firm contracts, full details are still being worked out. In addition, the general arrangements are left up to each owner to personalize. However, the above-mentioned balcony is surely off the master suite. And, it’s easy to imagine the interior accommodations overall suiting an owner’s party of 10. Regardless, the floor-to-ceiling panels of glass to each side on the main and upper decks should make the spaces bright. The SuperConero megayachts should also meet both RINA classification and MCA requirements.
