Yacht owners seeking seclusion yet quick transport into Miami’s dynamic business and social scenes have a new option this winter. One Island Park, located in Miami Beach, is private property, being newly developed with megayacht-only dockage operated and managed by BWA Yachting.
The number of megayachts that can reserve the side-to berths depends on the LOAs of those present. Overall, though, One Island Park can accommodate the world’s largest yachts. In fact, BWA Yachting says yachts exceeding 200 feet (about 61 meters) can arrange a stay. Draft should be no issue, either, an important consideration. It’s due to the minimum water depth being nearly 40 feet (12 meters).
One Ocean Park contains a sculpture park and an on-site office for BWA Yachting. The company can arrange a variety of services for you, your guests, and your crew. These include customs and immigration clearance, plus provisioning brought to your yacht.
The location appealed to BWA Yachting as a marina option due to its exclusivity and privacy, according to Laura Esteve, vice president of BWA Yachting America. It also will help the company fortify operations within Florida and across the United States. The marine-services agency has an office in Fort Lauderdale, along with one in Newport, Rhode Island.
One Island Park is set against the downtown Miami skyline, too, and therefore is in proximity to the site of numerous events that should be of interest to yacht owners. These include Art Basel Miami, held annually in December, along with the Yachts Miami Beach show every February. In addition, there’s the separate Miami International Boat Show, held concurrently with Yachts Miami Beach.
