While construction started some time ago, Dynamiq has released the first glimpses of its second superyacht, the GTT 115. What’s more, the project represents collaboration with a design partner from outside of yachting.
As the model name suggests, the Dynamiq GTT 115 measures about 115 feet (35 meters). “GTT” stands for Gran Turismo Transatlantic. This means she blends the looks and speeds of sport cruisers with the long range of displacement yachts. As a result, Dynamiq says the GTT 115 should see a top speed of 21 knots and range of 3,000 nautical miles. Twin MANs with Fortjes pods provide power.
Naval architecture is by the well-known design firm Vripack. Styling and interior design come from Studio F.A. Porsche. Yes, it’s the same company behind the hot-selling Porsche 911 sports car. But, also known as the Porsche Design Studio, the company is further responsible for eyewear, watches, household products, and much more.
The all-aluminum Dynamiq GTT 115 is in build at Dynamiq’s yard in Viareggio, Italy. In keeping with tradition, a coin was under her keel during the keel-laying ceremony. The management team invited Pierre Casigraghi of the Monaco royal family to weld it. (The Dynamiq head office is in Monaco.) As the photo here shows, construction is much farther along. Fairing is actually already taking place, as is mechanical outfitting.
Launch is set for this fall. The GTT 115 will meet RINA Comfort Class standards as well as the voluntary, environmentally minded Green Star standards.
Meanwhile, Dynamiq’s first megayacht, Jetsetter, made her American premiere at the recent Palm Beach International Boat Show. The 128-footer (39-meter), similar to her bigger sister, boasts a reported 3,000-nautical mile range and 20-knot top end. She’s further for sale with Burgess for €14.545 million (about $15.522 million at press time).
