The coronavirus lockdown has construction temporarily on hold, but the latest Sanlorenzo steel series should still debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. We’re now able to take you inside this first Sanlorenzo 62 Steel, from her 2,260-square-foot (210-square-meter) master suite down to her beach club.
Speaking of the master suite, nearly half of that square footage is indoors, forward on the upper deck. It includes the skylight-equipped sleeping area seen above, which faces walls of windows. The bed faces sliding glass doors leading out to 1,216 square feet (113 square meters) of private outdoor space, including a hot tub.
Measuring 201’8” (61.2 meters) with a beam of 39 feet (11.9 meters), the first Sanlorenzo 62 Steel also prioritizes guests’ experiences. Similar to her big sister, the 64 Steel, she has fold-down side and aft terraces to make the beach club look and feel more open and airy. Guests can dive off the platforms, or use them for sunning and sitting. Alternately, they can remain inside, beneath the reflections from the glass-bottom pool on the main deck. They can also work out in here, or relax in a hammam. Regardless, the megayacht makes multiple relaxation options possible.
Having five decks overall and an impressive volume of 1,200 gross tons does, too. But, perhaps most noteworthy, the first Sanlorenzo 62 Steel has a transformable main deck. Just outside of the 16-person dining room, you’ll find an inviting pool. If the owners want to throw a big cocktail party, the crew can activate a sliding cover for the pool. The cover is really more like a deck, therefore adding 86 square feet (8 square meters) to the usable space.
