Sergei Dobroserdov is, in modern parlance, a disruptor. The CEO of Dynamiq created the builder to offer looks, performance, and a buying experience different than what goes on elsewhere. Dynamiq focuses on sporty yachts and superyachts without sacrificing speed, fuel burn, or range. It lets customers pick features and systems via an online configurator, including pricing updated in real time. In sum, for Dobroserdov, it comes down to efficiencies. No wonder, then, Dynamiq partnered with Studio F.A. Porsche to create the Dynamiq GTT 115. “They’re all about efficiencies,” he says.
Dynamiq first partnered, though, with Vripack, for the 115-foot (35-meter) GTT 115’s performance efficiencies. The all-aluminum megayacht has a round-bilge hull. This means less drag and therefore better fuel burn. Twin MANs with Fortjes pods translate to good maneuverability, too. They also translate to a reported 21-knot max speed and a 3,000-nautical-mile range. Given the 4’8” (1.45-meter) draft, the spec-built GTT 115 should suit those seeking shallow-water enjoyment as much as deeper water crossings.
Studio Porsche and Porsche cars are known for the “intelligent performance” slogan. It means equal parts power and proficiency, beauty and brawn, as well as swiftness and safety. It also signifies a connection among the driver, the car, and the road. For the Dynamiq GTT, it signifies a connection among you, the yacht, and the water. The saloon and dining area, reversed from the typical arrangement, characterize the bond best. Walk right up to the marble-clad TV wall in the saloon and turn around to face aft. The photo here only hints at the sightlines, and the effect. Underfoot, the effect continues, mimicking exterior decks.
The saloon, and most other rooms onboard, also pick up on Porsche’s distinctive houndstooth patterns. Studio Porsche picked all of the soft goods and detail work for the GTT 115. That includes backlit plates at door thresholds—in the Porsche font, naturally.
The automotive nods aboard are assertive without being overwhelming, or kitschy. Some may even make you smile. For example, close the door to any of the GTT 115’s three staterooms, and a 01, 02, or 03 above the door handles illuminates, backlit. Warm, caramel-tone leather, like that of the Porsche Panamera, frames beds. Note, too, the subtle pitch to the bulkhead behind the bed. The room follows—respects, really—the hull shape. It’s a restrained reminder you’re on a yacht—a sport yacht, at that.
With seven-foot (2.15-meter) overheads and good space planning, the GTT 115 feels like a larger yacht. But with a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, she also feels quite manageable. Currently for sale, she is as much for buyers stepping up in size as she is for those who long for the intimacy stepping down affords. It’s all about the efficiencies, after all.
