Mark your calendar for the Cannes Yachting Festival. There, you can test drive the 36-knot 200 HX, the latest tender from Invictus Yacht. The sporty boat blends engineering borrowed from sportfishing with style wanted by superyacht owners and guests.
Invictus says it designed the deep-V fiberglass hull much like that of open sportfishermen. The idea is to give captains and owners a responsive and agile 20-fooer (6.1-meter). If you so wish, you can even take this tender fishing. Invictus will equip the 200 HX with both a baitwell and a livewell, as seen below.
Those of you who are more traditional tender users, however, won’t feel left out. Swap out the fishing amenities for a settee to accommodate more guests. You can seat several friends and family, given the 7’9” (2.4-meter) beam. If you enjoy the softer side of life, note that the 200 HX comes with all-leather seating. Furthermore, for some fun flair, Invictus can match the hull to the grey tone of the seating. The aluminum tubes around the hull additionally match the hull color.
Whether you plan to wet some lines or just want a quick way to head to shore, the 200 HX should satisfy your performance needs. Invictus Yacht offers outboard power up to 150 hp. That capacity reportedly allows for a 36-knot top speed and a still-respectable 20-knot cruising speed.
Having established a reputation for offering owners options, Invictus Yacht provides a good one for the 200 HX. The image above reveals a T-top. If you choose it, it nestles right against the roll bar, visible in the top image. The roll bar serves as a helpful hand rail for when the captain pushes the proverbial pedal to the metal. Regardless of configuration, the 200 HX comes with a windscreen for the helm, and a leaning bolster for the captain.
