The flagship of the Eagle RIB series from BRIG Boats makes her American premiere this week. The Eagle 10 is debuting at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
BRIG’s headquarters are in Europe, where all design and construction takes place. For convenience, the company has three U.S. dealers, in Annapolis, Fort Lauderdale, and Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio.
Several models comprise BRIG’s four series. The Eagle, for example, caters to fast harbor hopping and cruising. (Other series target waterskiiers, adventure cruisers, and more.) Given that 38 customers have purchased a BRIG Eagle 10 since she made her global debut in August, in Australia, the company expects good results stateside.
The Eagle 10 tender gets her name from her LOA in meters, which is equivalent to 32’8”. This makes her the largest BRIG to date, too. Furthermore, with a reported top speed of 50 knots from twin 300-hp engines, she’s also among the fastest. Note as well that BRIG can equip the tender with 200-hp powerplants if you prefer.
Regardless, BRIG manufactures the Eagle 10 to alternately stow on deck and be towed behind your yacht. Whatever you choose to do, you can pack 20 passengers onboard when it’s time to carve up the water. Seats span the 11’2” (3.4-meter) beam. The deep-V hull should keep everyone relatively dry. For all-afternoon trips, a convertible table comes in handy, as does a sink. Take a jump into the sea from the swim platform, or use the attached folding ladder to ease into the water. A handy shower lets you rinse off before returning to your yacht. Anyone in need of a nap on that return trip can retire to the double berth in the cabin.
Finally, BRIG offers the Eagle 10 with an optional refrigerator and stove.
