Ask anyone who’s participated in sailing-superyacht racing, and they’ll tell you it’s a thrill. It’s so much fun, in fact, that a few charter yachts offer the opportunity to stay aboard during these races. Prana is one such yacht, participating in the upcoming St. Barths Bucket. Thanks to her owners and her agents at Fraser Yachts, you can experience the invitation-only event.
Originally built in 2006, Prana measures 169’6” (51.7 meters). If you’ve been following the yacht market for a while, you might recognize her launch name, Kokomo. She came from Alloy Yachts and Dubois Naval Architects.
The current owners, who bought her in 2014, enjoy cruising as well as racing aboard the sloop. In fact, Prana has participated in a number of regattas over the years. The St. Barths Bucket is definitely one of the highest-profile races on the yachting calendar. From this coming March 21 to 24, if you charter Prana, you can participate in the shore-side social events as well as the terrific racing conditions, thanks to the reliable trade winds.
If not everyone in your party wants to race, though, it’s not a problem. Prana can instead be a spectator yacht. Therefore, you can watch all the action from her decks. Yet, you can still participate in the land-based fun. This includes a welcoming party, a yacht hop, as well as awards ceremonies.
Either way, Prana puts plenty of enviable amenities at your disposal. After a long day of racing, or holding binoculars, relax in the foredeck hot tub, for example. A total of 10 people in your party can enjoy the interior lounges, outfitted with walnut and wenge, as well as alfresco dining areas. You should especially like the master suite, which spans the full beam and feels more voluminous than most other sailing yachts’ master suites.
Enquire with Fraser Yachts for Prana’s charter rate during the Bucket.
