There’s nothing better than seeing owners and their families enjoying their newly delivered yacht. The latest to do so is Rafael Nadal and his wife Maria. They’ve wasted no time cruising aboard Great White, the first 80 Sunreef Power, in their home waters of Mallorca.
In fact, Nadal and his family celebrated his 34th birthday aboard the 79-foot (23.95-meter) semi-custom project in June, shortly after taking delivery. The timing was quite important to the tennis star, for more than just ringing in his birthday. He wanted to spend the summer cruising around the Balearics onboard the small superyacht.
Despite her small length compared to many private yachts, Great White is big on space elsewhere. Her catamaran design, for instance, guarantees 40 feet (12.1 meters) of beam. That beam feels even bigger when a fold-down balcony in the master suite, situated below decks, opens.
Overall, Nadal heightened the voluminous feel in personally selecting subdued tones for the decor. Therefore, as you’ll see in the footage above, Great White shows off beige, cream, and coffee colors, from the flying bridge (featuring a bar) to the three guest cabins below. In total, Great White shows off more than 3,875 square feet (360 square meters) of social space.
She shows off good speed, too. Nadal’s yacht has the optional engines package, with 1,200-hp diesels, for a maximum speed of 22 knots.
