Oftentimes shipyards use a recent launch as the basis for a new long-range cruiser design to catch customers’ attention. While Rosetti Superyachts is doing that with the RSY 40m EXP, it’s doing something else, too. It purposely is partnering with a high-end design company that creates exquisite furnishings for the likes of Bentley, Bugatti, Dolce & Gabbana, and more renowned brands.
Given the success of the RSY 38m EXP Emocean, Rosetti’s first delivery, the builder and design studio Hydro Tec used her as the starting point. She’s already undertaken two Atlantic crossings, for instance, plus garnered attention at the Palm Beach show earlier this year. The new 131-footer (40-meter) bears similarly strong lines. Additionally, she should achieve upwards of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, the same as Emocean. However, “The 40m has allowed us to reinterpret and refine Emocean by adding features and solutions that were not possible to add on the 38m,” explains Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.
One, for example, involves changes to the bow, for an elongated and flatter stern. The stern should stay drier, too. The majority of the changes, though, are from seeking quite a different interior-design partner. Andrea Giora, Rosetti’s sales and marketing director, notes that Luxury Living Group specializes in custom-designed, luxurious furniture. Besides the brands already noted, the company creates on behalf of Versace, plus has its own Luxence Luxury Living line.
The watchword for the RSY 40m EXP interior is elegance. From tactile fabrics to a marble dining table and striking bronze coffee tables, lush, luxe looks abound. Of course, the design and build teams expect clients to customize the looks. But, the main elements could remain as a neutral backdrop, with pops of color conveying personality.
Potential owners may particularly like the master suite aboard the RSY 40m EXP. Whereas the saloon and dining areas are relatively formal, here the mood is relaxed. Especially note how the wood covering the wall behind the bed actually extends across the ceiling as well. Bentley Home furnishings and warm, soothing colors set the mood. Step out onto the balcony, and the relaxation continues.
Finally, what’s a yacht without a little more personality? Luxury Living Group suggests the jungle-patterned furnishings it recently created for Versace Home’s Stiletto line.
