Reale Yachts (“royal” in Italian) dates only to 2018, but it has found an interesting niche within custom yacht construction. Its steel and aluminum explorer-yacht clients wanted tenders that were just as sturdy. So, it created the all-aluminum Heritage line, with the Heritage 40 catching on with other superyacht owners. The model is now available in both Open and Cabin (a.k.a. T-top) configurations—and further customization is possible, too.
Notably, the Heritage line launched in 2020, selling out the first six hulls by that November. Located in Pisa, Italy, Reale Yachts believes aluminum is a better material even for tenders than fiberglass. It points to how the metal is lightweight, strong, and recyclable. To keep the aluminum from absorbing too much heat in the strong summer sun, the shipyard treats it with a heat-resistant nanotechnology material.
For style, of course, the 37’6” (11.45-meter) Heritage 40 has a highly polished bow, and offers a wide choice of cushion colors. Clients who want to cruise around under the sun all day may prefer the Open version. The Cabin version still features a center console, adding the sporty T top. Either way, you can accommodate plenty of friends and family, with the total depending on the certification standard. Reale Yachts builds to CE certification, which applies to most boats and yachts up to 79 feet (24 meters) for use in Europe. Under CE category B, the Heritage 40 can carry 12 passengers. Under CE category C, meanwhile, you can have up to 16 passengers.
Regardless of how many people spread out amid the 12’4” (3.77-meter) beam, you’re all in for a thrilling ride. Reale Yachts equips the Heritage 40 with three 300-hp outboards to cruise between 30 and 45 knots. Top speed, meanwhile, is upwards of 54 knots, it says. All the while, your group stays dry and comfortable on the settees and sunpads fore and aft.
