Superyacht owners shopping for a relatively compact tender don’t necessarily have to settle for a utilitarian look. Neither are they limited to largely predetermined layouts and finishes. The Evene Origin 57 offers customization, upscale detailing, and versatility for yachts starting around 98 feet (30 meters).
Measuring 19 feet (5.7 meters), the Origin 57 is making its U.S. debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show later this month. Accommodating up to nine guests, it’s the first model in Evene Tenders’ Origin Series, too. Williams Jet Tenders created the stand-alone brand last year for superyachts seeking something different. The company was already working with builders ranging from Sunseeker and Princess Yachts to Sanlorenzo. However, it was fielding increasing inquiries from captains and owners of more megayachts. So, it created Evene Tenders to present options with an elevated aesthetic and approach. Simultaneously, it wanted to offer some more sustainable-oriented benefits, like cork decking. All manufacturing still takes place in Williams Jet Tenders’ facilities in Oxfordshire, England.

To that point, each tender is made to order. Owners can specify finishes and color schemes, along with their yacht’s logo. Owners who are sustainability-minded will appreciate removable eco-upholstery incorporating Vestige fabrics. Details such as Evene’s signature scalloped hull treatment, a custom steering wheel, and LED-illuminated footwells further give the model more polished appeal.
The Origin 57 can handle more than straightforward guest transfers, too. Accessory mounts can accommodate equipment such as mountain bikes, for example. This makes the craft useful for owners and guests heading ashore for activities. Additionally, the crew can drive it straight to the beach, either with guests or ahead of them for a beach picnic. A boarding pole lends practicality, while a Fusion audio system caters to afternoons of cruising coastlines.

Performance comes from Evene’s Petestep hull design. This redirects spray down and aft, instead of tossing it to the sides. According to the company, it reduces reduce hydrodynamic resistance and absorbs wave impact for a softer, quieter ride. That ride is quite spirited as well, reportedly up to 40 mph with a single Yanmar diesel. Notably, the engine can run on HVO 100 fuel, dramatically reducing carbon-dioxide emissions compared with traditional fuel.
The Origin 57 won’t remain the company’s only superyacht-tender for American buyers for much longer. Evene recently announced the Quest Series, a line of premium beachlander tenders. The first model, the Quest 72, launches next year. Evene says the series will blend luxury-oriented finishes with the flexibility to handle a variety of activities on the water.
