Although she remains a confidential project, a yacht that should be the biggest Feadship yet came into view last week in The Netherlands. Feadship 821, her hull number, saw her hull and superstructure join together, with the assistance of several cranes.
In fact, five cranes carefully lifted the deckhouse onto the hull at a facility not too far from Rotterdam. Specifically, the Royal Van der Wees site in Dordrecht handled the task on behalf of Feadship. Royal Van der Wees works with other Dutch yacht builders, too, such as Heesen Yachts.
Reportedly measuring 390 feet (118.9 meters), Feadship 821 was under tight wraps, literally, during the process. That therefore makes it a challenge to determine who her styling is from, since no distinctive lines are entirely visible. But, judging from her stage of construction, Feadship 821 likely will see delivery in 2024.
Once that happens, the megayacht officially will be the largest completed Feadship. Currently, the title belongs to Anna, which saw delivery in 2018. She measures 361 feet (110 meters).
Fun fact: The hull and superstructure for Feadship 821 arrived separately, as you’ll see in the video. The hull began its journey from Feadship’s subcontractor a few days in advance.
