One of the largest private yachts in build in The Netherlands is finally visible. Though still going only by her hull number, Feadship Project 1011 hit the water for the first time earlier today.
The yacht marked what industry representatives commonly call a technical launch. It’s a float-out from the initial construction shed. In the case of Feadship Project 1011, that construction facility is the Zwijnenburg shipyard, which—like Feadship—is a family-run operation. Near Rotterdam, Zwijnenburg has been building steel and aluminum hulls and superstructures for a variety of yacht and shipbuilding partners since the 1950s. In the video below, you may see the name Ijsselwerf on the building when the yacht is in the water. Zwijnenburg has been using this specific location for the past decade for large new-construction yacht hulls and yacht refits, too.
The few details we know so far about this superyacht are that she measures 336’6″ (102.6 meters). Additionally, her sleek lines come from the drawing boards of Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
Since she doesn’t yet have her engines in place, Feadship Project 1011 will head under tow to the Feadship Makkum facility over the weekend for outfitting. Given her stage of completion, she may see delivery in 2024.
Despite being one of the largest superyachts in build in the country currently, this is not the largest Feadship under construction. In fact, the 390-foot (118.8-meter) Project 821 outranks her. Finally, in terms of delivered Feadships, the title belongs to Anna, at 361 feet (110 meters).
