This week Custom Line celebrated its last megayacht launch of the year, bringing to a close what’s been a busy several months, and overall year, for its basin. The motoryacht Regina, which just splashed, is launch number six in just under two months. Additionally, this Custom Line Navetta 37 is the 20th launch to touch the water at the Ferretti Superyacht yard in Ancona, Italy since January.
The motoryacht Regina measures 121’6” (37.06 meters), a displacement design blending classic and contemporary styling by Zuccon International Project. Since the Navetta 37 series is for cruisers who want to enjoy long-range travel, twin MAN engines should allow a 2,000-nautical-mile range around 10 knots. Cruising speed is 12 knots, while top speed is 15 knots. All the while, the owner of Regina, who’s from the United States, can have friends and family stay aboard in four staterooms below decks. Naturally, the master suite is forward on the main deck, taking advantage of the views. Regardless of stateroom location, the yacht’s 26-foot (8-meter) beam should make the tailored touches requested by the owner stand out.
Putting the launch of the motoryacht Regina into more perspective, the Navetta 37 series debuted in 2016. Further to this point, the five prior launches of the past two months are notable as well. For instance, hull number 10 in the Custom Line Navetta 30 series splashed in late October. This 93-footer (28.42-meter) features styling by Filippo Salvetti, a studio collaborating with other Ferretti Group brands, too. About two weeks later, hull number eight in the Custom Line 120 series touched the water. With sportier lines than the Navetta projects have, this series bears styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design.
Six days after the Custom Line 120 launched in November, My Way, a Navetta 33, celebrated her christening. Her owner has something in common with the owner of the motoryacht Regina: He’s American, too. Remarkably, My Way is the 25th hull in the Navetta 33 series, which further stands out for having four decks.
The very last day of November, meanwhile, M Together lowered into the water for a European customer. This is hull number nine in the Navetta 42 megayacht range, the largest of the displacement models. LOA: 138 feet (42 meters), spread across four decks.
Finally, on December 13, yet another European owner enjoyed having his Custom Line 106 launch. My Mistake is hull number 15 in this planing-yacht series, the entry level model.
The 20 Custom Line launches of 2022—which also include the new flagship, the Custom Line 140—set a record for the yacht builder. It celebrated 16 launches in 2021 (see video above).
