A series that made its official premiere five years ago continues attracting cruising customers. The Custom Line Navetta 42 yacht launch that just took place about a month ago is proof. The launch was for hull number 10 in the series.
The largest Navetta series from Custom Line (that is, until the Navetta 50 launches next year), she blends the long range of a displacement hull with the sporty styling of a more traditional motoryacht. The lines interestingly lend her a lower profile than you might imagine for a megayacht with four decks. Additionally, true to the concept of a navetta, which is an oceangoing Italian vessel, she has a range of 3,000 nautical miles. It’s the longest range so far of the entire Navetta line, too.

With styling and naval architecture by the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the Custom Line Navetta 42 yacht offers abundant personalization. The owner of hull number 10, from the Asia Pacific region, wanted a family-friendly atmosphere. Therefore, one of the areas everyone likely will enjoy the most is the beach club. Directly at the water’s edge, as you’d expect, it’s a pretty expansive space. Guests can dive off the fold-down transom platform to take a swim, plus enjoy quiet moments simply enjoying the view. The beach club is particularly healthy-sized because Custom Line has created a new-to-the-series system deploying the tender and toys to the side of the megayacht.

Back inside the Navetta 42 yacht, the owner worked with the Custom Line Atelier, the shipyard’s in-house team, for the décor. A practical aesthetic was important to the owner, as of course was beauty. The ambience is serene, thanks to warm colors. Predominantly, ivory-tinged white, cream, sand, and clay create the mood. Since they’re somewhat subdued as well, they effectively combine with the sunlight coming in through full-size windows like those in the master suite to make spaces seem bigger.
Although the shipyard hasn’t revealed the layout of this particular project, generally speaking the Custom Line Navetta 42 yacht offers a choice of four or five guest staterooms. They all sit below decks. The above-mentioned master suite, meanwhile, is on the main deck, forward.
