Familiar faces for the Ferretti Group’s management celebrated alongside them in June. An American family who are repeat customers attended the launch of their yacht Gerry’s Ferry in Ancona, Itay.
Having previously taken delivery of a Custom Line 106 in 2022, the owner and his family christened a bigger boat this time. The new yacht is hull number 11 in the Custom Line 120 series. This 126-footer (38-meter) appealed to the owner certainly due to her extra space. For instance, the space allows the sundeck to be even more of an all-day relaxation area. Guests can soak in a hot tub before or after soaking up sun on loose lounges. They can also simply enjoy the view while gathered on the big seating area, then break for lunch at the adjacent ample dining area. The zones are close enough to keep everyone feeling connected without also feeling jam-packed.

Since the Custom Line 120 is a semi-custom series, the owner of the yacht Gerry’s Ferry unquestionably has infused the look with his personality. The Custom Line Atelier team, the in-house interior-design department, characterizes the interior as having special energy and modern sophistication. Subdued, warm tones ranging from hazelnut brown to milky-beige chamois, plus white, appear throughout the rooms. They keep the mood soothing, as do accents in rich ebony, dark brown, and bronze. Leather and stonework echo some of the same colors, especially white travertine and bronze travertine marble.

Not everything is subdued, however. The owner picked out a bold red color for the chaise lounge in the master suite and other freestanding décor items amid the decks.
Because she’s a planning series project, the yacht Gerry’s Ferry promises a good turn of speed. Sea trials should confirm a top end of 25 knots, along with a cruising speed of 21 knots. Voyaging between coastal North American destinations and the island chains in the Bahamas or Caribbean are possible, too. Best range should be 1,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.

On a related note, the launch of Gerry’s Ferry was one of five new launches for Custom Line in June and July. Among the others were Asante, the first Custom Line 50 yacht—the brand’s first metal yacht, too. The remaining launches were hull 12 in the Navetta 42 series, the 22nd hull of the Custom Line 106 series, and hull 2o in the Custom Line 30 series.
