If you can’t get to the golf course, let the golf course come to your yacht. Or, more accurately, let the golf simulator come right on your yacht’s deck. What’s more, you’ll never lose a ball thanks to specially designed nets. The entertainment-focused companies Off the Deck and FunAir have partnered to ensure that Off the Deck’s SeaDriveCX simulations don’t result in your treasured golf balls landing at the bottom of the ocean.
Off the Deck’s founders have more than four decades of experience in a seemingly unusual combination of golf entertainment, yachting, and finance. However, they knew how much people enjoy teeing off aboard yachts. Therefore, they created the SeaDriveCX, already going aboard the famed charter yacht Loon for the upcoming charter season. The interactive simulator offers an extraordinary choice of 245 global golf courses for you to perfect your technique, get helpful data and analytics, or just use for friendly competitions with your friends and family. Additionally, according to Off the Deck, the SeaDrive CX is different from other simulators because you can join online competitions. Imagine “playing” a round with someone in another country, for instance.
Off the Deck has its own biodegradable golf balls that reportedly feel more like premium golf balls when you hit them. Note, too, that the system is adjustable to any manufacturer’s golf balls. Here’s where FunAir recognized an opportunity. Because the company had already welcomed Off the Deck as a trusted supplier, Off the Deck started getting feedback from yachting customers who prefer using their favorite brand. Therefore, the FunAir x Off the Deck Cube (above) and GeoDome go(below) golf nets were born.
Not only are the two golf nets inflatable, but also they are customizable. If you want to float the GeoDome or Cube off your transom, for example, that’s possible. It’s further possible to secure them directly on the foredeck. Yet another option: securing them to a beach. Regardless of choice, both have removable and replaceable inner shields that serve to damp the balls’ impact. A variety of funnels and pouches ensure your favorite golf balls get captured as well, for retrieving and hitting all over again.
Of course, both the GeoDome and slightly smaller Cube Golf Net pack up for stowing away in small garages or lazarettes.
If you’re at this week’s Monaco Yacht Show, look for Off the Deck’s SeaDriveCX by FunAir’s in-water toy display near the Captain and Crew Lounge. It’s directly in front of the Monaco Yacht Club.
