Each year Mare Forum, which organizes symposiums for yachting professionals, owners, and their crew, hosts the Super Yacht Americas event. The fifth-annual edition, coinciding with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show next week, will include our editor, Diane M. Byrne, as a moderator.
Super Yacht Americas is set for October 30. It attracts professionals from across the yachting spectrum because of the diversity and timeliness of the topics. Byrne’s panel is no different. In fact, the speakers are four highly regarded industry representatives, in maritime law, marine lending, yacht construction and repair, yacht brokerage and charter, and flagging. The topic is ”Wealth: The Global Economy and the Multi Billion Superyacht Booming Market Outlook.” Led by Byrne, each speaker will shed light on current opportunities and challenges that superyacht owners and the industry face.

Specifically, the speakers are:
– Lisa Verbit: Director, Custom Credit Executive-Yachts Bank of America, N.A.
– Joel Walton: CEO, Maritime Authority of Cayman Islands
– Pascal Savoy: U.S. President, Camper & Nicholsons USA
– Michael Moore: Founding partner, Moore & Co.
– Nurettin Caliskan: President of International Relations, Turkish Shipbuilders Association GISBIR
“I’m looking forward to not only hosting this panel, with extraordinary professionals, but also educating the audience,” Byrne (left) says. “Traditionally, events like this attract industry representatives and owners genuinely interested in advancing yachting.”
The remainder of the Super Yacht Americas programming includes a few further discussions. For instance, a panel will highlight new superyacht trends, from design to the growing desire to give back to coastal communities. Additionally, other speakers will dive into the importance of balancing regulations, especially concerning safety and sustainability.
Overall, Super Yacht Americas is an opportunity to learn, listen, and debate with like-minded individuals. It strives to provide meaningful, actionable information.
Tickets for the day’s programming are available for $500.
