The islands of Fiji, Tahiti, and others in the South Pacific are growing in popularity, particularly among Americans. Yachting businesses throughout the region are understandably eager to show off what their waters have to offer. They further want to showcase the natural hospitality of the locals. This are the driving factors behind the second edition of The South Pacific Superyacht Rendezvous.
The event brings together regatta-like racing, immersive social events, and of course time to speak with regional representatives and fellow yacht owners. It’s a natural extension of the efforts of The Superyacht Gathering organization. Dating to 2019, The Superyacht Gathering focuses on celebrating South Seas sailing while simultaneously fostering personal connections through it. The organization launched The South Pacific Superyacht Rendezvous last year to take the concept further. The sailing superyachts Crazy Horse and Kawil were among those who attended.

Just as it did last year, the event takes place in Fiji. From August 26 to 29, attendees with both sailing superyachts and motoryachts are welcome. Specifically, the gathering is for yachts of 72 feet (22 meters) and larger. Although the regatta is exclusively for sailing yachts, motoryacht owners can of course watch the race. Additionally, the social side of the event is for owners of all the yachts. The social program is entirely shoreside, too, for a taste of South Pacific culture.
For instance, a welcome party the night of August 26 will include regional food and dance—in a barefoot-casual setting. The first race is the following day, around the Mamanuca Islands. These are 20 islands that are among Fiji’s most-talked-about places to visit. Notably, several of the islands disappear beneath the Pacific Ocean at high tide, too. The secluded Musket Cove Resort is the site of The South Pacific Superyacht Rendezvous activity on August 28. It includes another race, along with lunch. The prize-giving ceremony on the final day should be filled with cheers and joking jeers, plus more tastes of South Pacific dishes.

More details will become available as the dates get closer. Registration is currently open.
