Majesty Yachts is making further inroads into large superyachts, and it’s already sold the first hull. The Majesty 160 yacht series is its solution to what it believes is an untapped opportunity. Specifically, the superyacht series is for owners and guests who want a far more lavish way of enjoying the cruising lifestyle.
Featuring the same interior design studio as the Majesty 175, namely Cristiano Gatto Design, the project departs from tradition. Typically, for instance, semi-custom and custom yachts of her LOA, 164 feet (50 meters), have six staterooms. Instead, the Majesty 160 yacht adds one more, yet still for a total owners’ party of 12 people. Judging from renderings on Majesty Yachts’ website, the owners of hull number one will have a private lounge within their main-deck suite, too.
Yet another break from tradition, the beach club is all-weather usable. With a smoked-glass front, it can remain an enclosed lounge overlooking the swim platform. However, when sunny days prevail, the center portion opens to make it an indoor-outdoor living room. Guests can step out onto the swim platform and straight into the sea via flip-out swim steps. Additionally, thanks to fold-down platforms to each side of the swim platform, the beach club opens up further to port and starboard.
Further in a departure from what’s currently a de rigeur design, the Majesty 160 yacht places the infinity pool high up. Rather than positioning it on an elongated main deck, the shipyard chose the sundeck. Parts of that same deck provide welcome shade when wanted, too. Since clients can tailor the on-deck and interior areas the way they wish, a dining area, a bar, or seating can sit within the shade.
For the interior décor, Cristiano Gatto Design maximizes the sensation of space and of being surrounded by the sea. Nearly full-height glass flanks the main and upper decks, as you would expect. Whites and creams mix with pale woods, even overhead, with specialty surfaces and lighting adding drama.
Additionally notable, Majesty Yachts partnered with the Dutch naval-architecture studio Van Oossanen. Together, they are ensuring the Majesty 160 yacht pushes usable space and volume as much as possible within the 500-gross-ton threshold. Commercial classification notation is standard as well.
The owners of the first hull, with a large foredeck crane for launching toys, should take delivery in the springtime of 2026.
