Although she’s the smallest model in Sanlorenzo’s SL range, the Sanlorenzo SL80A yacht “is not a simplified version of a larger yacht,” Tomasso Vincenzi, Sanlorenzo’s CEO, asserts. “We believe SL80A has the potential to welcome a new generation of owners into our Maison.”
The SL line has long included entry-level flying-bridge megayacht models, dating back to the shipyard’s origins four decades ago. At an LOA of 78’7” (23.97 meters), the Sanlorenzo SL80A yacht makes it simpler for enthusiasts to take that first step. Additionally, the draft of 6’1” (1.85 meters) lets them continue to access the shallow waters they’re likely accustomed to cruising. All the while, they benefit from much more usable space, without it feeling overwhelming.

One of the most noticeably more ample areas is the saloon. The “A” in “SL80A” stands for Asymmetric, a characteristic the model shares with the rest of the range, like the Sanlorenzo Sl110A yacht. Specifically, the port side of the yacht is full beam, with the starboard side including a traditional side deck. According to Sanlorenzo, owners gain 20 percent more interior volume. It increases usable floorspace and amplifies the feeling of openness, too. This architectural difference was introduced by longtime design partner Zuccon International Project in 2018 and has been received well.
Buyers with an artistic eye will like the interior design, too. The stairway connecting the main deck and the flying bridge is almost like a sculpture attached to the saloon overhead. It’s metal, with perforated panels on one side letting light come in from the adjacent windows. Zuccon International Project also designed the soles with Cadorin, an Italian manufacturer of wood flooring. They’re oak, with a distinct triangular design that echoes Aztec architecture—Cadorin even calls it Azteca. The tone of the oak further complements the teak decking outside, for visual continuity. Similarly, the design studio chose Thai walnut and subdued tones to echo the teak. Throughout the four staterooms, including the full-beam main-deck master, triangular patterns are on the walls and headboards. These are nods to the Cadorin Azteca flooring.

Finally, Sanlorenzo and Zuccon International Project ensure owners and guests make the most of their time outside. The main aft deck has an infinity-effect glass inset for the bulwark over the transom, for example The Sanlorenzo SL80A yacht provides two ample sunning spots as well. One is on the flying bridge, while the other is part of the bow lounge. That same sunpad converts to a dining area, for versatility.
The shipyard hasn’t revealed whether hull number one is under contract.
