In mythology, King Neptune exerts control over the sea. Turquoise Yachts and Hot Lab want a customer to feel subtly powerful yet no less influential with their concept yacht Neptune.

An updated version of a concept from 2021, the new Neptune is more in tune with how tastes have changed in recent years. Firstly, the exterior color scheme is a subdued graphite instead of a bold aquamarine. Enrico Lumini, Hot Lab’s co-founder and design director, says the profile’s curves and lines as well as the color all serve the same purpose, “evoking a sense of seamless harmony with nature and refined contemporary luxury.” He adds, “Designing Neptune was about creating emotional connections.”
Some further subtle changes are intended to strengthen that feeling. The current LOA just shy of 200 feet (61 meters) isn’t dramatically different than the original 213 feet (65 meters), for instance. But, it might reflect more of where buyers are currently seeking options. Additionally, volume is still ample, 1,300 gross tons instead of 1,328. Of course, full-height windows wrap around the main and upper decks, for panoramic views.

Otherwise, interested parties will still find perpetually in-demand amenities aboard the concept yacht Neptune. For example, the helipad on the bow makes for quick owner and guest arrivals and departures, without disrupting relaxation going on elsewhere. The forward part of the sundeck is dominated by big sunpads surrounding a pool. An equally ample C-shaped settee nestles against the aft bulwarks on the same deck are ideal for taking in the sights underway. Come nighttime, it’s also the perfect spot to curl up and watch movies, on a screen the crew can set up on deck. Down below, meanwhile, deploying platforms open the gym to the sea air and scenery. And, a nearly 20-foot-long (6-meter-long) pool on the main aft deck will be a favorite for all guests.
The interior design is for buyers to tailor, with the studio of their choice. To ensure customers understand the possibilities, Turquoise Yachts says the concept yacht Neptune easily accommodates four VIP staterooms plus the master suite on the main deck. Yet another VIP stateroom can benefit from the views on the upper deck. An excellent crew-to-guest ratio is possible, too, given space for cabins for a captain plus 13 crewmembers.

Finally, engineering from Azure Naval Architects underpins the entire design. Although Turquoise Yachts hasn’t revealed the best range, transatlantic cruising is understood in this size range. The shipyard does, though, say that the yacht should see a top speed of 16 knots.
