Costanza Pazzi, CRN’s project architect for this superyacht, shares how the owner’s love of conviviality molded a yacht made for light-filled living.
Q: From your perspective as Project Architect, how did the owner’s personality and lifestyle shape the design brief? Also, what key requests defined the yacht’s identity?
A: Like a blank canvas, CRN M/Y Amor à Vida – as all the CRN superyachts – is designed so that the owner can imprint his vision on the interior spaces. In this case, in the form of decoration systems, color schemes, and marine-themed detailing. Craftsmanship at the very highest level achieved all of this.
As already stated in her name, Amor à Vida (Love for life in Portuguese) embodies the owner’s philosophy of life and celebration of conviviality at sea. The yacht’s leitmotiv is sociability, thanks to a seamless fluidity between indoor and outdoor spaces. They specifically welcome guests into generous, functional, and refined settings that feature exquisite design and maximum comfort.
Full-beam glazing on all the decks, offering endless views of the horizon, highlights this. It’s a visual continuum that tracks the yacht’s elegant external architecture, creating evocative reflections, flooding the settings with natural light, and establishing constant contact with the water.
Also, the exterior styling reveals the owner’s desire. The yacht features a sophisticated elegance, with an articulated design that showcases sleek, taut, flowing, powerful, and sculpted lines. Altogether, they reveal a strong identity that can embrace the owner’s specific requirements, echoing his vision and way of living on the water.
Q: Beyond the technical specifications, how did the owner’s more personal or emotional expectations drive elements of the design? How did you translate those into tangible onboard experiences?
A: Natural light onboard Amor à Vida is pivotal in living the wide and generous spaces. The owner specifically asked for skylights both in his panoramic suite and on the ceiling of the beach club. The latter is central within the aft deck. Two further skylights are greatly effective under the swimming pool. They allow an amazing amount of sunlight to enter the beach club, a very important area, since it was the first part of the project phase at the owner’s request.
Light reflects in the peacock blue, a main trait of the color mood board of the interiors. It’s very elegant and sophisticated, embodying the owner’s great passion for the sea. Peacock-colored mosaic tiles entirely cover the swimming pool on the main deck, as well as the two comfortable seats on either side of the pool and two stools at one end.
Each corner on Amor à Vida conveys an experience to live. You can further see it in the printed leather – cladding both the ceiling and walls – in the wheelhouse: it features a decorative motif featuring a detailed map of an area the owner specifically chose. It adds a personal and bespoke touch that conjures indelible memories.
Q: Since delivery, how has the yacht been experienced, both privately and through charter? And how have its design features supported life onboard during summer cruising?
A: Available for chartering during selected period of the year, Amor à Vida successfully completed her first complete season in the Caribbean between December and March 2026. Guests praised her comfort and livability in an exquisite ambience, both indoor and outdoor.
Her wide open areas connect to the indoors, creating continuity and a sense of openness in even more extensive social areas onboard. They’re ideal to live convivial moments while enjoying the beauty of the sea. Take, for instance, the multi-purpose outdoor recreational and social area at the stern of the bridge deck. Its highlights are a Jacuzzi tub with sunbathing area, an American bar with a crystal quartzite top, also fitted with an Italian pizza oven capable of baking up to four pizzas at the same time, and a TV screen for karaoke evenings: This is one of the many examples that Amor à Vida has to offer to guests.
The yacht also caters to a wide range of guest activities, from excursions to watersports involving towable toys. The toys are housed in the full-beam garage at the tip of the bow, including jet skis, water bikes, wakeboards, kayaks, a Jobe Binar Towable SUP, Seabobs, and diving gear.
