Monte Carlo Yachts is adding to its megayacht offerings this fall. That’s when the MCY 80 makes her global debut. She marks Monte Carlo Yachts’ sixth model in six years, too.
As it has done with its other models, Monte Carlo Yachts turned to Nuvolari-Lenard for styling and interior design. Both parties wanted the MCY 80 to look part of the family, yet have her own qualities. (Keep in mind that there are already an MCY 76 and an MCY 86.) Staying true to her lineage, the MCY 80 has a flying bridge and social-centered foredeck seating area. The interlocking circular ports seen in the profile above is a signature of sorts, too. They’re part of the master stateroom (below). In terms of styling overall, the look is sporty, with a little extra flair; not simplistic, yet not showy, either.
Buyers can arrange the MCY 80 in a variety of ways. The flying bridge can feature a hot tub and a bar, along with customary sunning space. Monte Carlo Yachts is providing a choice of furnishings and accessories from well-known brands like Hermes, Armani Casa, and Minotti, too. Those are set to complement brushed- and bleached-oak soles and paneling. Leathers and stonework set the tone inside, too.
Monte Carlo Yachts has not revealed the anticipated performance figures, or specifications like beam and draft. However, in looking at the figures for the MCY 76 and MCY 86, cruise speed may be around 24 knots. The beam for the MCY 80 may be close to 20 feet, considering that the MCY 76 has a beam of 8’5” (5.65 meters), while that of the MCY 86 is 21’5” (6.55 meters).
The MCY 80 is set to appear at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Current clients of the yard will get a sneak peek at an event in July.
