If you’ll be attending the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, then you’ll get a chance to see the latest 60-meter (197-foot) megayacht from Lürssen, Arkley, shown here on sea trials this past week.
Arkley’s styling is similar to that of Linda Lou, delivered in 2006 – which makes sense, when you realize both were designed by Espen Øino. Arkley’s contemporary interior is from Mark Berryman, who made a name for himself in the yacht world first with H2 Yacht Design; he’s responsible for the interior look of the ISA 600, among others.
I anticipate getting a closer look at Arkley prior to the Monaco Yacht Show, since I’ll be visiting the shipyard before she’s delivered at the end of July. It’s been a busy few months at Lürssen, where among other things, the 110-meter (361-foot) Darius was launched and the famed Destriero arrived for an apparent rebuild (I say “apparent” because photos reveal she’s in terrible condition).
I’ll post an update on all the activity after my return.
