Fancy a flick while floating around in the pool? The owner and guests aboard Seven Seas won’t have to dry off and head inside to enjoy the latest DVD blockbuster. The glass wall at the aft-deck infinity pool of this Oceanco can serve as a movie screen.
This is among the many highlights of the latest superyacht delivered by the Dutch yard. In fact, Seven Seas was handed over a month early, in late November, so hopefully the owner spent the holidays onboard and put her powerful engine package to the test. Seven Seas is equipped with twin 4,680-hp MTU engines, for a reported top end of 20 knots.
Measuring 86 meters (282 feet), Seven Seas was previously referred to as her project name, Y706. Her styling, from Nuvolari & Lenard, resembles several previous Oceancos, like Alfa Nero and Sunrays, but her design team did grace her with elements distinctly her own, at the owner’s request. Rather than devote an area aboard to use as a cinema, the saloon can serve the purpose, thanks to two rows of seats and a projection screen measuring five meters by two meters (16 feet by six and a half feet). Furthermore, 250 square meters (2,691 square feet) of alfresco space just aft caters to cocktail parties, casual dining, and even formal affairs.
Nuvolari & Lenard collaborated with California-based Molly Isaken Interiors for interior design. No doubt the master suite is quite the sight, given its lobby, private lounge, study, plus private sundeck fitted with a hot tub. Guests aren’t left out of the comfortable accommodations, given two VIP suites in addition to four guest staterooms.
