For decades, yacht charter has almost exclusively meant per-week bookings. With day charters rising in interest, more options are coming. Ahoy Days is the newest platform, with both pricing and availability in real time for multiple international destinations.
Ahoy Days is from Ahoy Club, which like many charter firms books weeklong (or longer) superyacht trips for global clients. The idea for the day-booking platform came from observing frustration among both charter customers and brokers. Typically, if a client inquired about a possible day rate, brokers, yacht managers, and owners traded multiple emails. No clear pricing structures or simple and swift availability searches were available. “You should be able to sit at lunch, decide today’s the day, and be on the water an hour later,” asserts Ellie Malouf, Ahoy Days’ founder. “That’s the whole point. We built the thing that makes that possible.”

Ahoy Days has actually been available since last year, though limited to Australia, where the Malouf family is based. According to the company, it has booked upwards of 1,000 day charters across more than 200 yachts in Australia. Additionally, the company’s brokers have vetted each of those yachts.
It’s doing the same now for the French Riviera, the Amalfi Coast (top), and Sicily (left) for this summer. “We know the operators, we know the boats, and we know what a great day on the water looks like,” Malouf says.
While most of the yachts available through Ahoy Days are small production boats, at least one superyacht can be booked, too. Users can select the region they’re interested in first. Upon choosing a date, the platform updates instantly. Length, guest capacity, and rate are all visible immediately as well. Further filters include group size, occasion, and duration.
Whether for family fun or a corporate event, Malouf wants to make “those experiences easier and more accessible than ever before.”
More destinations in the Mediterranean and beyond should become available later this year.
