Although her official launch is still some time off, the code-named yacht Project Ziggy did hit the water this week. With her steelwork finished and much of the aluminum superstructure in place, she marked her technical launch at Lürssen.
Few details are available, although the shipyard can share that the megayacht is for a customer from North America. The owner intends to pursue long journeys, spending significant time onboard with family and friends. The total guest capacity remains confidential, but the yacht’s LOA, approaching 333 feet (101.4 meters), suggests a large party.
That LOA is within a size range that has seen multiple prior projects from Lürssen. Similarly, the superyacht is the latest resulting from the shipyard pairing with Harrison Eidsgaard, the UK-based design studio. The two previously collaborated on the yacht Madsummer (currently known as CC-Summer), among others. Harrison Eidsgaard is responsible for the carved, angular profile. Note, too, the open, ample foredeck. It’s certified for helicopter landings and takeoffs. Aft, meanwhile, a large pool dominates the alfresco main-deck space. Further pools will sit aft on the decks above as well, as will wellness-oriented areas.

Harrison Eidsgaard is working closely with the owner for the design throughout the interior, too. Specifics on the woods, stones, and other materials are still confidential. However, the owner wants the overall look and feel to keep all guests thoroughly comfortable in a variety of global destinations. The yacht Project Ziggy is for true liveaboard experiences throughout the year. Simultaneously, the owner wants an incredibly high level of service from the crew. Behind-the-scenes amenities for them therefore are expected to be as well planned as the guest areas.
With outfitting having just begin, the superyacht will remain inside Lürssen’s sheds until formal launch and then delivery, the latter in 2028.
