Leave it to the Italians to name a new model in honor of symphonies and harmonies. The Navetta 33 Crescendo should launch late this spring, a restyling of an existing megayacht from Ferretti Custom Line.
Rather than just change a few items on the Navetta 33 (measuring 33 meters, or 108 feet), the builder has rearranged pretty much every aspect. It was done with input from Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT (Ferretti Group’s own naval architecture and design company), and Ferretti Group’s Centro Stile, another design company in-house.
One of the biggest changes: the incorporation of sliding glass doors to starboard off the teak-soled saloon and dining area that lead to a fold-down balcony. There’s also a circular dining area aft on the upper deck, surrounded by sliding glass doors. Open them up, and dining becomes an alfresco affair. Interesting enough, there are also sliding glass doors forward, which can be closed to allow for more private gatherings, given that the helm is fully forward.
Other changes for the Navetta 33 Crescendo include an expanded sundeck, complete with a pool and the requisite sunning spaces, plus a main-deck owner’s suite. Guests are accommodated in four staterooms below, allowing for flexibility due to each containing twins that can be pushed together to form doubles. Speaking of flexibility, the upper-deck lounge can be outfitted instead as an office.
Owners will still be able to put their imprint on the interior, of course. They’ll also get the choice of toys contained only within the tender garage or additionally aft on the upper deck or sundeck. If toys stay in the garage, the aft upper deck frees up for a hot tub and/or extra sunning space. Either way, the garage is surrounded by a small swim platform, to make boarding and disembarking tenders easier.
Like the other Navetta models, Ferretti Custom Line designed the Navetta 33 Crescendo to emphasize leisurely cruising. She’s expected to top out at 20 knots and cruise at 16.5 knots, powered by twin MAN engines. Also like the other Navettas, plus all large Ferretti Group yachts, Mitsubishi ARG stabilizers will damp roll motions.
