Come the end of summer 2015, the first Mondo Marine SF40 megayacht is set for delivery.
Mondo Marine’s in-house team collaborated with SF Yachts, its Middle Eastern dealer, for the creation and design of the series. SF Yachts additionally sold this first Mondo Marine SF40 to the buyer. The all-aluminum megayacht measures 136’2” (41.5 meters), with a beam of 28’9” (8.8 meters). She emphasizes mostly modern looks with clean lines and good volume and will be RINA classed.
Speaking of volume, the master stateroom maximizes it. It’s split over two levels on the main deck. The upper section is the sleeping space. It takes advantage of the ports you see rimming the forward portion of the Mondo Marine SF40. It’s also a veranda of sorts, open to the dressing area and bath below. To be clear, other megayachts have featured split-level master suites. But, they have been larger than the Mondo Marine SF40. And, there have been relatively few of them. SF Yachts and the shipyard wanted the megayacht to stand apart.
Other features aboard the Mondo Marine SF40 include four guest staterooms, a main-deck crew mess (opposite the galley), and an owner’s saloon/cinema aft of the owner’s suite. The wheelhouse is enclosed on the flying bridge, which also features a spa pool.
The Mondo Marine SF40 will further be capable of visiting a variety of cruising destinations. Draft is 7’2” (2.2 meters), conducive to visiting some shallow areas. Powered by twin 1,450-hp MTUs, the Mondo Marine SF40 should also see a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 12 knots. Cruising speed is just a bit higher, 15 knots.
If you’ll be at the Dubai International Boat Show next month, Mondo Marine will have a scale model on display.
