The six megayacht designs seen at left comprise a new range from Moonen Shipyards, called the Caribbean series. Fittingly, the Moonen Caribbean motoryacht models have names evocative of the tropical islands. They’re the 85 Mariana, the 100 Montserrat, the 105 Matica, the 112 Mustique, the 120 Martinique, and the 126 Marquis.
Moonen anticipates that buyers will primarily cruise warm waters. That’s another reason why the Moonen Caribbean range is named as such. Of course, each megayacht is also open to customization for systems, equipment, and more. That’s in keeping with the Dutch builder’s approach for all of its projects. The yachts are already designed for good fuel consumption and range, plus good sound and vibration control.
The Moonen Caribbean series further echoes styling elements of previous Moonen models, for a family feel. The 85 Mariana, for example, bears some resemblance to the Moonen 84. The latter has proven to be quite a successful offering. The 100 Montserrat in the Moonen Caribbean series further shares similarities with the Moonen 99, yet another successful model. The general arrangement for the Moonen 84 and 99 features three guest staterooms and a full-beam owner’s stateroom all below decks. You can expect the 85 Mariana and 100 Montserrat to follow suit. Though, as stated above, customization is also possible. That might lead a buyer of the 100 Montserrat to request a main-deck master.
Regardless of arrangement, the Moonen Caribbean motoryachts are meant to attract international buyers. Moonen has had success with European buyers for some time. It has at least one North American owner in the “family” as well, and has been marketing stateside for some time, too.
