India, Peacemaker, Noor, and Aventus. Those are the names of the four megayachts launched in the past two weeks at Sanlorenzo. India and Peacemaker are each Sanlorenzo SL96 models. Noor is a Sanlorenzo SD92, and Aventus is a Sanlorenzo SD112.
Even with India and Peacemaker being part of the same series, there are differences. India has the customary five-stateroom configuration. Peacemaker has just four cabins. What would normally be the fifth stateroom is instead a gym. She’s also more high-tech, as per her gadget-loving American owner’s wishes. Sanlorenzo arranged for all TVs, music, lighting, and more to be operational via smart phones and tablets. India’s owner emphasized luxury—Italian luxury, specifically, given his heritage. He selected famed Italian furniture brands for indoor and outdoor arrangements, amid a bleached-oak decor. Furnishings custom-made for the yacht feature Canaletto walnut.
For a complete change of pace, consider what the owner of Noor (above) did. The entire decor is white. You’ll find white lacquer and white leather overhead and on furnishings. Furthermore, the master suite is aft on the main deck, quite unusual. Three guest staterooms and a gym lie below decks.
Aventus also has an aft main-deck owner’s suite, but four guest staterooms below. Everyone has use of two fold-down balconies in the saloon. The extra natural light brightens the already light-tone American elm decor. The wood is used for both paneling and furnishings. It’s quite a contrast to O, the first Sanlorenzo SD112, which splashed in April. Her owner requested custom cabinetry that doubles as art, and the ceiling of the aft-deck overhang to feature rich Tanganyika wood, walnut, and teak.
