The Cannes Yachting Festival in September will mark the debut of the Azimut Grande 95RPH. She’ll join two smaller sisters, the Azimut 77S and Azimut 50 Fly, in premiering there.
“Azimut Grande” designates all Azimut models of about 95 feet (29 meters) and larger. The Azimut Grande 95RPH is actually just shy of 95 feet. She’s 93’9” (28.62 meters). Regardless, she’s the entry-level model in the Azimut Grande lineup, with the largest being the 120SL. The first Azimut Grande 95RPH just launched in April, and is the same one debuting at the Cannes show. On a related note, the Cannes Yachting Festival is increasingly attracting yachts and megayachts up to about 100 feet LOA. Those same yachts can head out for sea trials, too, something no other yacht show offers.
The yacht’s beam of 23’2” (7.07 meters) looks to be put to nice use. Full photos are not yet available, but the rendering here of the saloon hints at the spacious feel. The Azimut Grande 95RPH is a semi-custom megayacht, so additional buyers can arrange spaces and choose soft goods as they wish. Something they surely won’t change, though, is the master stateroom’s location on the main deck. It’s rare to find this on a yacht of her LOA. Hull number one also has four guest staterooms below decks.
The “RPH” in Azimut Grande 95RPH designates a raised-pilothouse configuration. A second helm is situated on the flying bridge, which will be a favorite gathering space. It’s due to the hot tub, plus the sliding sunroof over a dining area and bar amidships. Overall, the flying bridge encompasses 646 square feet (60 square meters), a sizable footprint.
As for performance, Azimut says the Azimut Grande 95RPH can top out at 26½ knots and cruise at 20 knots (each at half load). Power is provided by twin MTU engines.
