To entice new visitors, Barcelona-based Marina Port Vell is offering one night’s free dockage for first-time yacht and superyacht stays this spring and summer.
The offer is available from May 1 to September 30. Marina Port Vell will waive the dockage fee for yachts measuring 65’6” (20 meters) and larger. (Taxes, power, water, and related services are excluded.) The marina has 190 total slips for yachts to 295 feet (90 meters).
The marina, which is also hosting an event with the International SeaKeepers Society next week to encourage more European support for the non-profit ocean organization, is in a prime location. It’s a 10-minute walk from the heart of Barcelona. A number of yachting-oriented service companies are also walking distance or a short drive away. These include MB’92 and Pinmar. Marina Port Vell and these other companies form what’s called the Barcelona Nautical Cluster. And, of course, popular cruising grounds like the Balearic Islands and the South of France are within a day’s travel.
Visitors to Marina Port Vell have a number of amenities to enjoy, too. A concierge desk can handle travel plans and recommend places to visit locally. A gym and sundeck are at your disposal as well. Should you need to address business concerns, Marina Port Vell has private meeting rooms. The business center housing those rooms further has representatives from a variety of yachting firms. They range from crew-placement agencies to insurance companies. Owners and guests are also encouraged to check out the OneOcean Club, a private members club with a restaurant and cocktail lounge.
Crew concerns are catered to as well. Crewmembers have their own gym, lounge, and wellness center at Marina Port Vell.
