If ever there were an example of a loyal customer, the owner of Blue Angel 2 is it. He’s further loyal to his own country. An Italian, the owner, along with his family, recently attended the launch of his fourth yacht built by Sanlorenzo, christened Blue Angel 2.
The all-fiberglass Blue Angel 2, measuring 95’5” (29.1 meters), is part of the Sanlorenzo SL96 series. The series has been quite successful for the shipyard. Blue Angel 2 is the 15th SL96 to date, in fact.
In keeping with Sanlorenzo tradition, Blue Angel 2 features custom touches. The five-stateroom layout includes the master stateroom forward on the main deck. (Other SL96 owners prefer a bigger galley here, or a gym.) Also as per tradition, the ports rimming the master, and those in the dining area, can essentially enlarge. It’s due to an in-house-engineered system that actually lowers part of the superstructure, revealing more glass.
Blue Angel 2 showcases bleached oak and dark-stained oak (made to look like wenge). The wood is additionally carved into designs (not revealed by Sanlorenzo, unfortunately). White-leather settees accentuate the contrasting tones.
Outside, Blue Angel 2 has customary highlights like a barbecue on the flying bridge.
Delivery of Blue Angel 2 should occur in the spring. Also this spring, the 16th and 17th members of the Sanlorenzo SL96 series are set for launch. So, too, are three SL106 megayachts and an SL86.
