Final sea trials seem to have concluded for Cloudbreak, the latest megayacht being handed over by Abeking & Rasmussen.
The megayacht has been mostly secretive during her build. Abeking & Rasmussen and the rest of her build and design teams were not able to release much information. They did confirm an LOA of 237’9” (72.5 meters). They also confirmed that her rugged styling is by Espen Øino, and her interior design is by Christian Liaigre. Renderings of Cloudbreak’s interior posted on a yacht-charter database suggest the decor is comprised of light woods and tones.
Additional renderings there, too, show an upper-deck pool forward, and an all-open uppermost deck. Perhaps that deck will be where the owners and guests spot good surfing areas. Cloudbreak gets her name from an area in Fiji renowned as one of the world’s greatest surfing destinations. That puts her assortment of toys into good perspective, too. Cloudbreak is reported to carry multiple kitesurfers and windsurfers, plus wakeboards, kayaks, stand-up PWCs, and scuba gear.
With a beam of 40’7” (12.4 meters), Cloudbreak is quite voluminous. At launch, Abeking & Rasmussen issued a statement saying gross tonnage exceeded 2,200. Publicly available data since then indicates it’s 2,600.
Cloudbreak will embark on global cruising, with charter dates available later this year as well. Her weekly rate begins at €750,000 (about $840,400 at press time).
