Ten years ago, Couach introduced the 3700 Fly, a series that saw several deliveries in the ensuring years. Since today’s buyers have different tastes, the builder updated the design. The model has a new name, too: the Couach 3700 Sport.
Still measuring 121 feet (37 meters), the 3700 Sport bears subtle differences outside. The French shipyard elongated her lines, while preserving the flying bridge. As you would expect, the open-air deck emphasizes sunning, sitting, and dining. Aiding the latter, you’ll find a grill. One suggested option for the Couach 3700 Sport: a hot tub. The builder can arrange furnishings however you wish, too, since every model is customizable.
To kickstart your imagination for the interior, Couach suggests a warm, neutral-toned interior, brightened by the big ports. The abundance of natural light also enhances the 24-foot (7.3-meter) beam. Again, you can tailor the 3700 Sport however you wish, with a variety of woods, finishes, leathers, and other materials. Furthermore, you get a choice of four or five staterooms, for accommodations up to 10 people. Depending on your stateroom choice, you also can have five or six crew.
But really, “sport” yachts emphasize outdoor living more than staying inside. To that end, the Couach 3700 Sport does not disappoint. Besides the sunning space on the flying bridge, you’ll find similar space forward on the main deck. The sunpads here are carry-overs from the original 3700 Fly. Back aft, the megayacht makes good use of space, too. You won’t just find a swim platform. You’ll find what Couach terms a “bathing beach.” The aft deck and transom come together to be the playground at anchor. Features include a diving board, a swim ladder, and a handy shower. Too much sun? No problem; the crew can set up an umbrella. Too sedate? No problem here, either. The Couach 3700 Sport can carry a 16-foot (5-meter) tender plus a PWC. And, the aft deck is equally suited to watching your family play, lounging, and/or dining.
Complementing her sporty looks, the Couach 3700 Sport has sporty performance. The shipyard anticipates a 28-knot top speed and 24-knot cruise speed. Both come courtesy of 2,735-hp MTUs. Finally, due to the six-foot (1.85-meter) draft, your captain can take you zipping in and out of shallow bays to your heart’s content.
