While the European yacht shows are just about to start, yacht builders and buyers are focusing on FLIBS, too. FLIBS (the nickname for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show) will see a number of megayachts make their debuts. Two models from Sunseeker are among them. While they’re not global debuts, they are definitely U.S. debuts: the 76 Yacht (above) and the 95 Yacht (below).
Most of the buyers drawn to the 76 Yacht so far are stepping up in size. They want superyacht-like amenities, yet still want to take the wheel themselves. Considering Sunseeker says 18 units of the 76 Yacht are pre-sold, there’s healthy appeal. Note, however, that the yacht does have crew’s quarters, if you want an extra hand onboard. That way, you can entertain your guests (the yacht accommodates an owner’s party of eight), while three crew take over operations.
The enhanced use of glass holds high appeal, too. For example, the Sunseeker 76 Yacht has an optional retractable skylight over the interior helm. Back in the dining area, a floor-to-ceiling window makes mealtime at anchor more special.
Of course, Sunseeker hasn’t forgotten about the “sun” part of its name. The 76 Yacht has 25 percent more alfresco space than the same-size model she replaces. Head up to the flying bridge, where you can request a hot tub and bar for a more fun, social atmosphere. In addition, you can request a mini beach club just off the swim platform. Sunseeker will install a barbecue, fold-out seating, as well as a handy rain shower for swimmers.
The Sunseeker 95 Yacht, meanwhile, has her own special stand-out features. The main-deck master stateroom spans three levels. Steps lead down from the sleeping space to a dressing area, and then further down to the bath. Yet another special feature: a raised pilothouse. The 95 Yacht is the British builder’s first model smaller than 100 feet to have this configuration.

We’ll have more on the megayachts making their debuts at FLIBS in the coming weeks, too.
