Parrottheads, rejoice. Next year, a Margaritaville luxury residence and resort, complete with marina, comes to the Bahamas. Named Margaritaville at The Pointe, it opens in Nassau, in phases, and accommodates megayachts to 150 feet (45.7 meters).
With construction already underway, the six-acre development includes a 45-slip marina. Conveniently within the marina, Margaritaville at The Pointe features shops (fashioned like tiki huts), a yacht club, and a restaurant, along with a public boardwalk. Also for convenience, a water taxi takes guests to local areas of interest. In addition, for families, a pirate ship stands ready for cruises.
In fact, Margaritaville at The Point is as much for families as it is for grown-ups. To keep the small set happy, the development has a kids’ club and a LandShark water park. Your kids can additionally take on a surf simulator, or slip down a water-slide tower. Furthermore, there’s a children’s “splash play area” (though surely Mom and Dad are welcome to get wet, too). A fun tropical island along a river, plus a cave aquarium should keep the kids happy as well.
Margaritaville at The Pointe has plenty of entertainment and relaxation amenities for adults, of course. Indulge in the St. Somewhere Spa, catch a movie or a concert on the outdoor stage, or hit the private beach. For a more private experience, consider buying one of the 150 luxury oceanfront residences (above). Choose among one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, all of which have eight-foot-wide glass balconies. Residences are available to rent as well. Owners and renters can take advantage of The Pointe Residence Club, a membership offering concierge services. These services range from preferred slip rights to spa and restaurant reservations, along with sightseeing trips. You further get use of a gym, an infinity pool, a hot tub, a beach, and outdoor fire pit and kitchen.
