Introducing Nerea Yacht, and the NY24. While Nerea may be a new company, and the NY24 its first project, both have support from seasoned yachting pros.
Run by Dario Messina, with two decades’ experience in boatbuilding, Nerea Yacht is near Fano, Italy. The region is home to other yacht builders, and therefore experienced craftspeople. Furthermore, specific to the NY24, design is by ideaeITALIA, which previously worked with Wider Yachts on Bartali and Cecilia. The boat’s styling is simultaneously traditional and contemporary. The traditional appeal is particularly noticeable with the teak foredeck, as well as the teak swim step. More modern design features come in the form of the angular windshield, and the curving hull lines that flow fore to aft.
Nerea’s NY24 is, according to the shipyard, for customers who enjoy personalizing their tenders or dayboats. (The shipyard is marketing the boat for both purposes.) So, for instance, you can choose seating as shown here: a U-shape settee aft that encircles a cocktail table. Regardless of colors and material choices, the idea is for the boat to be a sophisticated-looking cruiser.
You can see hull number one debut at the Düsseldorf boat show in Germany next month.
