This fall, Ocean Alexander will have three new megayacht models in South Florida to keep current customers in the family and turn the heads of other brands’ clients. One model belongs to the Ocean Alexander Explorer series, additionally marking the premiere of this line. The other two join the Legend series.
The 27E (above and below) is a nearly 89-footer (27-meter) kicking off the Explorer lineup. In looking at her profile, you may see some similarities to the Revolution series. Styling for both comes from Evan K. Marshall. But, more important, Ocean Alexander found that clients valued the Revolution series for its larger volume and just-as-spacious spacious accommodations. It therefore wanted to provide buyers with these benefits in new ways. Additionally, the Ocean Alexander Explorer series taps into trends toward extensive amenities. Note especially the extended aft deck and expanding platform. The builder says you get 225 square feet (20.9 square meters) of lounging, dining, toy-launching, and toy-stowage space.
As for the Legend series, it springs out from the Ocean Alexander 100, from the builder’s Motoryacht Series. Debuting in 2014, the 100 led to nearly 20 deliveries. Marshall started with the 100’s traditional profile for the Legend series. Differences, though, include adding in larger glass and lower bulwarks for a naturally lit, more appealing ambience.
The first two Legend yachts are the 32L (above, 105 feet/32 meters) and the 36L (118 feet/32 meters). For the interior of the 32L, Marshall penned a main-deck master suite making more use of available space. Furthermore, since the yacht is semi-custom, he worked with Ocean Alexander to create Manhattan and Cosmopolitan decor schemes. (Details on woods and other materials are not available.) Interestingly, the 36L started as a fully custom megayacht for a repeat Ocean Alexander customer. Because that customer is taking delivery of his yacht soon, hull number two is technically the series premiere. Regardless, the trideck yacht features five staterooms and a beach club.
Both the Ocean Alexander Explorer series yacht and two Legend series yachts will arrive in South Florida in time for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
