About a month following her launch, Totally Nuts is embarking on sea trials. The sporty-styled superyacht should put up some equally sporty numbers during those sea trials, too.
The yacht, which Feadship refers to as Project 706 due to confidentiality agreements, shows off her name boards in this video. Two tugs transported her from the Dutch builder’s Aalsmeer facility to Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the opportunity to capture her opening up her engines and seeing her perform has to wait a few days. Nevertheless, sources say that the 162’9” (49.65-meter) megayacht should enter the record books as one of the fastest Feadships delivered. Totally Nuts, according to these sources, should see a top end exceeding 48 knots.
The high-performance aspect for Totally Nuts makes sense, since the yacht’s owner took delivery of another fast yacht several years ago. Bearing the same name, she was a Heesen from 2005. She hit a maximum speed upwards of 30 knots.
Feadship does intend to disclose more details as the owner allows. Those may include her sea trial results, for instance, as well as information about the interior from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
