What do Cleopatra’s barge, the Royal Family’s Britannia, and even the late Aristotle Onassis’ Christina (above, now Christina O) all have in common? They, along with the original J Class yachts and modern megayacht marvels are all in Yachts: The Impossible Collection. More to the point, they are in it because they are among the most legendary yachts ever to exist.
Miriam Cain, a UK-based luxury writer and editor, created Yachts: The Impossible Collection so that yachting enthusiasts could dive deeper into what sets them apart—making them seemingly impossible. For some, for example, their sheer size was unfathomable for their time. For others, meanwhile, their speed, their luxurious features, or their advanced technology distinguishes them from the thousands of megayachts on the water, and many more no longer around.
We share more about this 236-page book in the August edition of the Megayacht News newsletter. Sent on a subscriber-only basis, the newsletter contains information we don’t feature here on the daily website. So, you’ll read about how the surge in megayacht sales is keeping RMK Merrill-Stevens occupied, for instance. Furthermore, you’ll learn about new contracts from Benetti and Ocean Alexander. Additionally, we give a sneak peek at the new logo for our website. The logo, by the way, premieres with our full site redesign in a few short weeks.
To subscribe to the newsletter, fill out the form below. We’ll make sure you receive the August edition shortly, and then each monthly edition after that.
