With its first fixed T docks in place, Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina is rapidly approaching completion of its dramatic expansion. This means the first megayachts can pull into the basin by the end of the year.
Undergoing renovation for some time, the Bahamian facility will reveal several significant changes. Firstly, the basin is re-dredged to a depth of 14½ feet (4.4 meters) from average low tide. This makes it one of the deepest marinas in the region, and in the Caribbean. Additionally, the perimeter is now 2,812,071 square feet (about 261,250 square meters). This is a big increase from the original 190,901 square feet (17,735 square meters). Plus, especially helpful for the largest yachts, the marina will have a 240-foot-wide (73-meter-wide) turning basin.
As for the largest yachts, Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina will welcome ones to 420 feet (128 meters) at its docks. Both concrete and deep-water floating docks will welcome superyachts. The floating docks further will handle sportfishermen and smaller yachts.
To protect against wave action as well as possible storm surges, the marina has newly constructed sea walls. The developers also upgraded the power infrastructure, extending the upgrade to the residences and commercial properties on site, too. Finally, 24-hour security and customs and immigration services will be on hand.
Several amenities besides residences await owners, as well as crew. For instance, owners and guests can indulge in a day spa and nail salon. A bank, a medical clinic and pharmacy, a bank, and executive office space further will be available. Crew will appreciate dockside delivery from the liquor store, plus provisioning and a gourmet grocer. In-dock fueling, golf-cart rentals, a crew lounge, plus a separate captains and crew pool and gym round out the crew-centric amenities.
Of course, owners and guests may also wish to take advantage of the renowned Atlantis Resort. Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina is literally steps away. Therefore, the resort’s casino, restaurants, bars, shopping, and waterpark will keep a variety of ages entertained.
