Beamier than most motoryachts in her size range, and with master-suite windows just above the water, the Spritz 116 from Alpha Custom Yachts is attracting attention. She showcases the possibilities that the yard offers to customers wanting something extensively tailored to their tastes.
Alpha’s founders are yachting veterans, brothers Roberto and Jorge Aboumrad. Their personal yachting experience, plus 30 years as yacht brokers, guides production in Turkey. In North America, David Johnson of Denison Yachting is the exclusive representative. For the 116, in build for a 2023 delivery, Alpha is collaborating with Laurent Giles Naval Architects and stylist Giorgio Cassetta. Collectively, they’re making her look and feel more voluminous.
Firstly, the Alpha Spritz 116 boasts a molded beam of 26’11” (7.9 meters). Typically, megayachts of her LOA are about three feet (0.9 meter) narrower. Some of that extra spaciousness becomes apparent in the two king-size VIPs and the two twin guest staterooms. In fact, the twins should have dimensions akin to those of a 145-footer (44-meter), according to Alpha Custom Yachts.
Secondly, alfresco areas are spacious, too. The flying bridge, for example, encompasses 1,076 square feet (100 square meters). The aft deck, meanwhile, not only has a plunge pool, but also sunning and dining space. Notably, teak decking can cover the pool to convert it to dance space or other entertaining space.

The just-mentioned dining area is noteworthy, too. In fact, it seats a generous crowd of 12 around a marble dining table. Plus, it’s protected by glass on both sides. It further makes a good transition from the beach area to the main saloon. Overhead air conditioning, LEDs, and surround-sound speakers (all concealed in teak) make it even more welcoming and comfortable, as does a bar.
Although Alpha Yachts and Denison Yachting haven’t revealed performance figures, they emphasize shallow draft. The Spritz 116 should draw 5’8” (about 1.7 meters), making the megayacht Bahamas friendly. Combine that with master suite windows about 1’6” (0.5 meter) above that sparkling water, and you can imagine the owner’s eagerness to take delivery.
More of the fully custom design details will be available in the coming months.
