Some people believe it’s a mistake to mess with success, so to speak. Williams Jet Tenders believes there’s room for improvement when it comes to its popular models. That’s why the Dieseljet 565 and 625, the largest models in its Dieseljet range, have new looks.
Both models target superyacht clients who want a little more luxury in a RIB, plus one capable of carrying a crowd. Specifically, the Dieseljet 565, which comes in at 18’7” (5.71 meters), has built-in boarding steps for bringing aboard nine passengers. It also has supportive seating, with backrests and footrests as well as armrests. Mindful that customers sometimes keep tenders in low-clearance garages, the Dieseljet 565 additionally lets you fold down the helm windscreen.
Among the improvements, Williams Jet Tenders reconfigured the layout to make moving about easier and more practical. The company gave the tender its slash-cut tube design, too, a hallmark of its other models. The design augments aesthetics and improves fore and aft stability while cruising, too. Similarly, the redesigned transom is cleaner-looking and provides a bigger swim platform. In fact, swimmers have a stainless steel grabrail as well as a swim ladder to use. Guests may prefer waterskiing, though, given the tender’s reported 38-knot top speed with the standard 150-hp Yanmar. (A 195-hp Yanmar is optional.) Finally, for pure aesthetics, request a custom illuminated “tender to” name for the transom.
Your crew, meanwhile, will appreciate the multi-function Raymarine display at the helm. They’ll further find molded foredeck locker lids quite convenient. Williams Jet Tenders includes a dedicated anchor locker that includes routing for the anchor rope when the crew closes it.
All of those improvements are aboard the 625 as well, which measures 20’7” (6.32 meters). It offers a choice of a 195- or 230-hp Yanmar engine, for a top speed of nearly 40 knots. Therefore, tell your waterskiing guests they’re in for one thrilling ride.
The Dieseljet 565, which can come with SOLAS certification as a rescue boat (above), will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival. No word yet on the Dieseljet 625 appearing at a yacht show, however.
