The Mangusta Oceano range, the long-range motoryacht line from the Overmarine Group, is growing. With the Mangusta Oceano 52 yacht series, clients can enjoy spaces rivaling larger yachts—including an unexpected upper-level owners’ area.
Although Overmarine Group currently has the Mangusta Oceano 50 series, the Mangusta Oceano 52 yacht is not a replacement. Rather, she’s a complementary model. In fact, she picks up on design elements introduced with the Mangusta Oceano 39 and 44. Namely, there’s marked increase in glass bulkheads and bulwarks, frameless handrails, and full-height, opening glass walls. Alberto Mancini, Mangusta’s long-time design partner, once termed the effect “a Miami penthouse.” Additionally, the shipyard pledged that the ample use of glass would be its future when it introduced those models.
Once again, with the Mangusta Oceano 52 yacht series, Alberto Mancini wants cruisers to have virtually barrier-free experiences. The main deck is particularly adept at this, for instance. Nearly all surfaces are glass. Owners and guests will enjoy the unobstructed views the most aft, since the build and design teams relocated air trunks.
Speaking of relocating, the Mangusta Oceano 52 yacht introduces a different location for the master suite—especially different for her size range. It’s on the upper deck. Naturally, to encourage owners to enjoy the views no matter where they cruise, it sits forward. Wake up to 180-degree views of an anchorage, then decide what to enjoy the rest of the day. Part of the day should include relaxing in the foredeck lounge, with private access from the stateroom. Sit, sunbathe, or soak in the infinity pool. For a change of pace, use stairs near the sunpads to head down to the “patio lounge.” On the main deck, it’s whatever clients want it to be: a lounge, a gym, or something else.
That notion of tailoring the layout extends throughout the Mangusta Oceano 52 yacht, too. Overmarine Group pledges far more customization options than ever before as well. So, consider giving each of the guest staterooms their own personalities. Two VIPs occupy what normally would be the master suite’s space on the main deck. Four further cabins sit below decks.
Hull number one of the steel and aluminum series is currently under construction. Come sea trials, the megayacht should see a top speed of 16 knots with MTU power at half load.
