The third time is the charm for Turkey-based VisionF Yachts. Hull number three in the VisionF 82 yacht series has an owner, having started construction on spec.
This hybrid-powered catamaran series premiered in 2022. VisionF Yachts created it from the VisionF 80 series, adding extra length at the request of customers. Even though two extra feet (0.6 meter) of length doesn’t seem like much, the overall 81-foot (24.7-meter) LOA is actually enough to make clients happy. Plus, it complements the already-wide 32-foot (9.9-meter) beam. Remaining unchanged, however, construction is entirely in aluminum. Additionally standard, solar panels atop the flying bridge’s fixed bimini charge a battery bank. The batteries in turn power lighting and other creature comforts to reduce emissions.
Since each VisionF 82 yacht is semi-custom, owners get to choose how to configure the deck areas. The owner of hull number three has chosen four staterooms, including a main-deck master suite. The elbowroom-friendly escape is nearly 194 square feet (18 square meters) and, of course, spans the beam. All three VIP staterooms sit in the hulls below decks, as do crew’s quarters for four hands.

Speaking of the crew, the owner wants the galley on the main deck. It occupies a corner of the open-plan saloon, making for a more relaxed and social experience. As for the saloon, although Vision Yachts hasn’t disclosed everything about the layout, it does say that the owner has requested parquet soles. Loose furnishings should also preserve the spacious look and feel, too. Notably, the saloon occupies a comfortable 581 square feet (54 square meters).

With a toy garage beneath the bridge deck, a shaded flying bridge, and a foredeck lounge, the VisionF 82 yacht further features hybrid propulsion. This system offers three operational modes. Electric mode, for instance, particularly suits slow-speed maneuvering. Hybrid mode means the system automatically shifts the load to the electric motor, the diesel engines, or both. It all depends on the megayacht’s speed and battery charge at the time. Finally, the third mode combines the two motors for more speed whenever the captain wants it.
The shipyard anticipates the VisionF 82 yacht to achieve a top speed approaching 20 knots under Volvo Penta power with IPS drives. Long distances should be no issue, either, considering the expected range is up to 4,000 nautical miles. Delivery is set for mid-year next year.
