She’s still code-named, and she’s still pretty much under wraps. However, the yacht Project Il Primo has a new owner, two years from delivery.

The 239-footer (73-meter) is an entirely custom steel and aluminum build at Admiral Yachts, part of The Italian Sea Group. Miami-based Kitson Yachts introduced the initial owner, who clearly wanted a style somewhat different from tradition. Although the yacht Project Il Primo has the hallmarks of time-honored design, like a flared bow and angled stern, far greater expanses of glass are aboard. They’re especially striking spanning two of the superyacht’s four decks. Brandon Kummer, Kitson Yachts’ co-founder, considers the look “the pinnacle of modern yacht design.”

While the yacht Project Il Primo is custom, she sprang from Admirals C-Force series, growing somewhat in length as well. (The series is not the same as Admiral’s GC-Force series, where other hulls are under construction and in design.) She therefore has Caterpillar power and of course transatlantic range. Additionally, she has accommodations for an owner’s party of 12, plus nine crew cabins.

Although so far details on the décor remain confidential, FM Architettura has been working closely with the original owner. Apparently, the design studio will continue working with the new owner, too. Major areas of interest onboard include in-demand amenities like a massage room, a gym, an elevator, and a beach club. Outside, meanwhile, a helipad will make arriving to and departing from secluded anchorages simpler. Dining alfresco on the uppermost deck not only will be a private experience, but also will benefit from a large glass inset in the aft overhang. The owner and guests further will be able to enjoy soaking in a hot tub and swimming in a pool.
